The Den Keeping Manager is responsible for the oversight and training of the Den Keeping Coordinators and their duties while managing the tasks within the strategy and governance portfolio, including budgeting and finance management. Â
The role is also responsible for reporting all Den Keeping activities and issues to the Dingo Den Animal Rescue President, and providing consultation in strategic meetings.Â
The Den Curation Coordinator is a central point of governance for the Den Care team, providing strategic direction and administrative support through the curation of species management and den carer rostering.
The Den Curation Coordinator has a close relationship with the Sanctuary Curation Coordinator (Sanctuary Pillar), working together to continually improve the Dingo Den Sanctuary environment through management of the people, animals, plants, equipment and structures onsite.Â
The Den Curator supports the Den Keeping Manager by implementing agreed Den Keeping strategies and assisting in the leadership of Den Care Coordinators.
The Vet and Health Care Coordinator position is responsible for the management of Vet and Health Care Project Officers and ensuring high quality health care is provided to all animals at the sanctuary by all volunteers. The role is vital to the health and welfare of the animals at the sanctuary.
The Parasite Prevention and Grooming Coordinator Position is responsible for organising parasite prevention and grooming days as well as ensuring there is sufficient supply of equipment. The role is vital to the health and welfare of the animals at the sanctuary. This portfolio works closely with vet and health care to help prevent health care issues from arising.
The Food and Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for the management and oversight of the Food and Nutrition portfolio and Project Officers. This role is vital to the health and welfare of the animals at the sanctuary.Â
The Hygiene and Enrichment Portfolio is responsible for the enrichment of all dingoes onsite as well as ensuring good hygiene measures onsite. For the enrichment side, the position needs a person dedicated to learning dingo behaviour to create enrichment plans that benefits and encourages the growth and promotes a positive psychology of each dingo. For the Hygiene side, the position requires a person organised to keep record of our stock and make sure everything is hygienic.Â
Working together, a small team of Den Care Coordinators are collectively responsible for the management of the Den Care portfolio projects, and the oversight of the Den Carer team.
The role is vital to the daily operation of the Den Keeping Pillar. Den Care Coordinator are expected to support one another, the Den Carers they lead and communicate openly with the Den Keeping Manager.
Den Carers are responsible for the daily care of the flora and fauna within the Dingo Den Animal Rescue Sanctuary. Den Carers implement the behavioural, dietary and health care plans as instructed by their Den Care Coordinator. Den Carers also implement the care plans for the flora in the sanctuary.
